NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE

GOVERNING BODY OF

DEKALB, TEXAS

 

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the governing body of the City of De Kalb, Texas, will be held on Tuesday the 12th day of November 2024 at 6:30 p.m. De Kalb City Hall 210 N Runnels, De Kalb, Texas 75559, at which time the following subjects will be discussed:

 

1. Call to Order

2. Invocation and Pledge

3. Open Forum (limited to 3 minutes)

4. Approve Minutes

5. Payment of Bills

6. Departmental Reports

7. Discussion and possible action to approve the 2024 tax roll

8. Discussion and possible action to appoint board member to the DeKalb Housing Authority

9. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 24-017 authorizing the submission of a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program Application to the Texas Department of Agriculture

10. EDC Director Report

11. Discussions and possible action to appoint members to the EDC Board of Directors

12. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 24-018 to approve A.L. Franks as engineer for the Water & Wastewater Improvements

13. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 24-019 to cast votes for the BCAD Board of Directors

 

1. Discussion and possible action to approve Bowie County Precinct 3 permission to ingress and egress on MLK during the Hwy 82 Construction.

2. Mayoral Update

3. Mayor and Council will retire to closed session pursuant to Government Code 551.074   Personnel/Legal Matters

4. Mayor and Council will return to Open Session to consider and take official action.

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the governing body of De Kalb, Texas is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted copy of said Notice on the bulletin board, in the City Hall of De Kalb, Texas; a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said Notice was posted November 08, 2024 by 5:00 PM, and remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.

 

NOTE: The Council reserves the right to retire into Executive Session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered permissible under the Open Meetings Act.
